Pembelajaran Berasaskan Projek dan Kesannya Terhadap Pengetahuan Kesihatan Diri Kanak-Kanak Prasekolah

Abstract

Pengetahuan berkaitan kesihatan diri perlu ditekankan di prasekolah. Hal ini kerana prasekolah mampu menjadi persekitaran yang memberi peluang kepada murid mendapat pengetahuan yang lebih luas tentang realiti kehidupan mereka dan cara menghadapinya. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kesan kaedah Pembelajaran Berasaskan Projek (PBP) terhadap tahap pengetahuan murid prasekolah berkaitan kesihatan diri. Kajian ini mengaplikasikan reka bentuk kajian tindakan yang melibatkan 3 orang murid lelaki dan 3 orang murid perempuan berusia 5 tahun dari sebuah prasekolah di Kuala Lumpur. Tiga instrumen data yang digunakan ialah pemerhatian, temu bual dan dokumen. Pemerhatian, temu bual dan dokumen-dokumen berkaitan dianalisis secara naratif sebelum dan selepas pelaksanaan PBP. Hasil kajian mendapati tahap pengetahuan murid berkaitan kesihatan diri meningkat selepas terlibat dalam pelaksanaan projek. Dapatan juga menunjukkan perubahan tingkah laku positif. Dapatan kajian ini memberi implikasi tentang perlunya guru prasekolah didedahkan dengan kemahiran kaedah PBP bagi mewujudkan satu kaedah pengajaran yang lebih berkesan. Oleh itu, kaedah PBP sangat digalakkan.
