Tahap Pengetahuan dan Amalan Kemahiran Fungsi Eksekutif Guru Prasekolah
Abstract
Kemahiran fungsi eksekutif merupakan satu set kemahiran mental yang membolehkan seseorang itu merancang, membimbing dan mengawal proses dan tingkah laku yang berarahkan matlamat. Kemahiran fungsi eksekutif membantu kanak-kanak mengembangkan kemahiran kerja berpasukan, kepimpinan, membuat keputusan, berusaha ke arah matlamat, pemikiran kritis, kebolehsuaian, dan mengawal emosi sendiri dan orang lain. Menyedari akan kepentingan kemahiran fungsi eksekutif terhadap pembelajaran seusia kanak-kanak prasekolah, kajian ini dijalankan bagi meninjau tahap pengetahuan dan amalan guru prasekolah terhadap kemahiran fungsi eksekutif. Responden kajian terdiri daripada 180 orang guru prasekolah di negeri Selangor. Instrumen soal selidik diedarkan kepada responden kajian secara atas talian melalui Google Form. Data kajian dianalisis menggunakan perisian SPSS versi 26 dengan menjalankan analisis deskriptif iaitu min dan sisihan piawai serta korelasi Pearson. Hasil dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap pengetahuan guru prasekolah terhadap kemahiran fungsi eksekutif adalah rendah (M=2.05, SP=0.761) manakala tahap amalan guru prasekolah berada tahap yang tinggi (M=4.4, SP=0.574). Hasil ujian korelasi Pearson mendapati hubungan signifikan yang sederhana antara tahap pengetahuan guru prasekolah dengan amalan kemahiran fungsi eksekutif (r=0.488). Hal ini menunjukkan adanya perkaitan antara tahap pengetahuan dengan amalan dalam guru prasekolah terhadap kemahiran fungsi eksekutif. Hasil kajian ini diharap dapat memberikan pendedahan kepada guru bagi menambah pengetahuan dan pemahaman serta mempersiapkan diri dengan kemahiran fungsi eksekutif.
