Students’ Perceptions and Understanding of Elective Courses and Their Effects on Academic Performance

Abstract

This paper aims to look into students’ perceptions and understanding of elective courses and how they affect their academic performance. This study enlisted the help of 97 students. Descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to analyse the data. According to the study’s findings, students’ perceptions of Digital Workforce have no influence or effect on their academic performance at UiTM Kedah. Furthermore, students who have understood the course have higher academic performance than those who have not understood the course. It is important that the lecturer sustain and improve the students' positive perception of Digital Workforce.
