Pedagogi Kasih Sayang, Efikasi Kendiri, Kekuatan Karater dan Sikap Guru dalam kalangan Siswa Guru
Abstract
Pendidikan yang berkualiti sangat bergantung pada kewibawaan guru yang berkualiti. Di Malaysia, usaha meningkatkan kualiti guru telah diimplementasikan melalui Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia (PPPM) 2013-2025. Salah satu tujuan pelan ini adalah meningkatkan kualiti guru melalui latihan pra-perkhidmatan yang berkualiti. Ciri-ciri guru berkualiti ialah mempunyai pedagogi kasih sayang, efikasi kendiri, kekuatan karakter, dan sikap guru yang akan memberi impak positif terhadap prestasi murid secara holistik. Kajian ini bertujuan menerokai tentang pedagogi kasih sayang, sikap, efikasi kendiri, dan kekuatan karakter dalam kalangan siswa guru di Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Ilmu Khas (IPGKIK). Kajian kuantitatif deskriptif ini melibatkan seramai 106 siswa guru di IPGKIK. Hasil dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa pedagogi kasih sayang dan kekuatan karakter siswa guru berada pada tahap sangat tinggi. Manakala tahap efikasi kendiri dan sikap siswa guru pula berada pada tahap tinggi. Ini menunjukkan bahawa siswa guru telah dilatih dengan baik dan memiliki sifat-sifat yang diperlukan untuk menjadi guru yang berkualiti. Cadangan kajian lanjutan untuk memperkukuhkan lagi kualiti guru termasuklah penilaian dan peningkatan program latihan, kajian jangka panjang mengenai perkembangan profesional guru, serta penyelidikan tentang pengaruh konteks sekolah dan penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan. Secara keseluruhannya, hasil dapatan menunjukkan bahawa program latihan pra-perkhidmatan di IPGKIK berjaya dalam membentuk siswa guru yang berkualiti dengan sifat-sifat yang diperlukan untuk mengajar dengan penuh kasih sayang, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan khas. Pelaburan berterusan dalam kualiti guru adalah kunci untuk mencapai sistem pendidikan yang cemerlang di Malaysia.
