Daya Tahan Pelajar Institut Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) Yang Mempunyai Pengalaman Buruk Zaman Kanak-Kanak
Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneroka cabaran dan faktor daya tahan yang mempengaruhi pelajar IPT yang mempunyai pengalaman buruk zaman kanak-kanak. Kajian dijalankan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan kaedah temu bual secara mendalam (in-depth) dan separa struktur. Seramai lima orang pelajar IPT di sekitar Melaka dan Selangor dipilih menjadi informan kajian berdasarkan kepada kaedah persampelan bertujuan mengikut kriteria yang ditetapkan. Temu bual ditranskripsikan dan dapatan kajian diklasifikasikan mengikut tema-tema yang dikenal pasti. Hasil dapatan kajian mendapati terdapat dua cabaran utama yang dilalui oleh pelajar IPT ini iaitu (a) sosial dan (b) emosi dan psikologi. Manakala bagi daya tahan pula terdapat dua faktor pelindung yang membantu pelajar IPT dalam kehidupan iaitu (a) faktor dalaman dan (b) faktor luaran. Dapatan kajian diharapkan dapat memberi cetusan idea dan inspirasi kepada semua pihak dalam membentuk pelajar IPT yang berdaya tahan bagi menjamin kesejahteraan negara pada masa hadapan.
