Pendekatan Proses Belajar dalam kalangan Murid Sejarah: Permukaan atau Dalaman?

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti amalan pendekatan proses belajar yang lebih dominan yang dipraktikkan dalam kalangan murid sejarah. Seramai 150 orang murid terlibat dalam kajian ini. Instrumen kajian ini merupakan Revised Two Factor Study Process Questionnaire. Data kajian ini telah dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa amalan pendekatan proses belajar permukaan dan dalaman berada pada tahap sederhana tinggi. Selain itu, amalan pendekatan proses belajar dalaman berada pada tahap sederhana tinggi manakala proses belajar permukaan berada pada tahap sederhana rendah bagi murid lelaki dan perempuan walaupun tidak terdapat perbezaan min yang signifikan amalan pendekatan proses belajar berdasarkan jantina. Dapatan kajian ini turut melaporkan bahawa amalan pendekatan proses belajar dalaman merupakan pendekatan proses belajar yang lebih dominan dipraktikkan dalam kalangan murid sejarah. Implikasi kajian ini telah mencadangkan kepada guru-guru sejarah untuk melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang berkesan menjurus ke arah pengaplikasian pendekatan pembelajaran secara mendalam yang berpusatkan murid.
