Hubungan Antara Penglibatan Sukan dan Akademik Atlet Sekolah Rendah
Abstract
Penglibatan murid dalam bidang sukan sering dikaitkan dengan pencapaian akademik mereka. Kecemerlangan akademik tidak mencukupi bagi seseorang pelajar mahupun murid dalam era globalisasi ini. Aktiviti kokurikulum terutamanya dalam bidang sukan juga merupakan salah satu cabang kejayaan bagi seseorang individu. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara penglibatan sukan dan akademik di kalangan atlet sekolah rendah khususnya di sekitar daerah Telupid-Tongod, Sabah. Seramai 62 orang atlet sekolah rendah telah dipilih secara rawak untuk menjawab soalan soal selidik yang telah diedarkan bagi mendapatkan data. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan perisian SPSS (Statistical Package For The Social Sciences). ANOVA sehala dan korelasi Pearson (r) digunakan untuk menentukan hubungan antara pemboleh ubah. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa tidak terdapat hubungan antara penglibatan sukan dan akademik atlet sekolah rendah. Atlet terlibat aktif dalam aktiviti sukan namun ianya tidak mempengaruhi akademik mereka.
