Abstract

Kajian tinjauan ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap burnout dan komitmen serta hubungan antara kedua-duanya dalam kalangan pensyarah di IPG Kampus Zon Timur. Kajian ini menggunakan Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) bagi mengukur tahap burnout dan Organizational Commitment Questionnaires (OCQ) bagi mengukur tahap komitmen. Sampel kajian ialah 73 responden yang dipilih secara rawak dan data dianalisis menggunakan perisian SPSS versi 26. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap burnout pensyarah berada pada tahap sederhana rendah manakala komitmen pada tahap sederhana tinggi. Ujian korelasi yang dijalankan menunjukkan terdapat hubungan linear negatif yang signifikan antara burnout dan komitmen. Kajian ini penting kepada pensyarah, pihak pengurusan IPG dan Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM). KPM boleh menambahbaikkan infrastruktur dan kemudahan pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk melancarkan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Kajian boleh diperluaskan kepada zon lain bagi mendapatkan hasil kajian yang menyeluruh dan boleh digunakan bagi membendung gejala burnout.
